Apple aims to launch the cheapest iPhone in early 2022 which will be 5G supported. The iteration of Apple’s iPhone will be an SE model with an A14 Bionic processor and the iPhone SE launch is expected to be unveiled in the first half of 2022.
Apple is working on iPhone SE latest model accommodating the A14 Bionic processor that might be launched in early 2022, according to DigiTimes. The report says that the iPhone SE latest model will be distinguished as iPhone SE 3. Approximately a month ago, Ming-Chi Kuo, a TF Securities analyst, gave similar remarks demonstrating that the upcoming Apple SE new model will be “Apple’s cheapest 5G phone ever.”
Apple will initiate the sale of 5G version of the budget iPhone SE in the first half of 2022. In addition to this, Nikkei reported that the iPhone SE latest model will comprise the A15 processor with 5G connectivity which will be enabled by Qualcomm Inc’s (QCOM.O) X60 modem chip.
For the faster internet and better coverage, Telecom operators have been spending billions of dollars for the upgradation of their networks to the much-touted 5G technology. Analysts, on the other hand, are wary of the technology’s application to individual customers, believing that it will be years before anyone draws the advantages.
Meanwhile, the iPhone Mini’s demand has been limited in contrast to its larger and relatively high models, such as the iPhone 12 Pro and the prior iPhone 11, as users prefer larger devices to perform nearly all day-to-day tasks.
According to Counterpoint, an industry data provider, the iPhone 12 Mini’s sales in the U.S. were barely 5% of gross sales of its new phones during early January.
