Amazon Store Down: According to Downdetector which is an outage monitoring website, E-commerce giant Amazon store was struggling with widespread outages on Sunday night which is the second major disruption to services since late June.
Several regional domains of the online stores started showing error messages. Access to product listing became difficult for several countries including United States, India, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, and Singapore.
“We’re sorry that some customers may be experiencing issues while shopping.
We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve the issue,” an Amazon spokesperson said.
Some of the domains were back up by 0400 GMT. Amazon did not reflect abruptly to requests regarding the extent of the services recovery.
According to Downdetector, outage disruption remained just about two hours occurred on Sunday evening in the US and roll out to the rest of the world on Monday morning. At the peak of the Amazon outage, over and above 38,000 users reported pointing the issues with Amazon’s online store site, while approximately 500 users reported problems with Amazon Web Services.
According to Amazon, its online stores had backup and returned to normal services after facing the global outage disruption.
“Some customers may have temporarily experienced issues while shopping. We have resolved the issue, and everything is now running smoothly,” an Amazon spokesperson said.
The spokesperson from Amazon declined to tell the reason behind this global outage.
Such brief outages had already been seen on Amazon before, including Alexa and Prime Video. Since late June, this is the second major disruption experienced by users.
