Pinterest introduces the Creator Code and all Pinterest creators are obliged to follow. Pinterest code or mandatory code of conduct which is the Creator Code will soon be implemented, aimed at maintaining a positive experience for all users.
The policies of the Creator Code are for every user and they have to follow the mandatory code of conduct when creating content for Pinterest.
Pinterest plans for the enforcement and the acceptance of this mandatory code of conduct before users can post to Pinterest pins.
Moreover, the guidelines aimed to encourage more positive content throughout the website. In addition to this, Pinterest is introducing new moderation tools to make the comment section friendly for the users.
Pinterest is also thinking about the content monetization of the publishers with its Creator Fund which is primitive.
When the user will try to post story pins, Pinterest will prompt the user to sign a mandatory Creator Code.
Pinterest describes the Creator Code as:
“The Creator Code is a mandatory set of guidelines that lives within our product intended to educate and build a community around making inclusive and compassionate content. It is intended to be proactive and empowering for Creators, rather than reactive and reprimanding.”
To maintain the same level of civility Pinterest is launching new measures which user will be bound to follow.
In addition to mandatory code of conduct, Pinterest has introduced new tools and features to give Pinterest creators and users a positive experience, including,
Pinterest is launching another program to fund Pinterest creators from underrepresented communities.
But this program is in action only in the United States and Pinterest Creators Fund provides creative strategy consulting, training and financial support.
“We’re on a journey to build a globally inclusive platform where Pinners around the world can discover ideas that feel personalized, relevant, and reflective of who they are. This is also reinforced by our commitment to ensure that 50% of the Creators we work with come from underrepresented groups.”
